The doors are linked to an alarm system. Even during the daytime, the doors remain securely locked for the safety of residents. Ramps make all areas of the home wheelchair accessible. The home also has a fire alarm system, as well as a secure lockup for all medications.

The bathrooms are tiled, clean and fresh. They are ADA approved, with easy wheelchair and shower access, non-slip surfaces and safety rails.

The bedrooms all have tile floors and generally white walls, although we are happy to paint a room almost any color that appeals to a resident. We encourage residents to bring artwork, photos and memorabilia to make their space more familiar and comfortable. There are two private rooms, four semi-private rooms and the master suite.

Living Areas

Elder's Ranch Living AreaThe entire home has lovely stone tile floors, which help the house stay cooler during the hot summer months. The family room, just off the kitchen, has the large double-sided stone fireplace, and is the main gathering area — probably because the tempting smells coming from the kitchen are so wonderful. The formal living room faces the rose garden and is a quieter gathering place for reading, games and putting together puzzles.

Kitchen | Dining

The kitchen is cozy, with both a breakfast bar and dining room (hearth room). The double-sided stone fireplace provides elegance for both the family room and the dining area. The staff provides three home-cooked meals and snacks every day. Residents' favorite menu items are often featured in meal plans. We also offer special meal planning to accommodate many dietary needs, especially diabetic meal plans.

The 2 1/2 acre horse property has a beautiful pool and securely fenced backyard. The outdoor space offers wheelchair accessible paths, a gazebo and barbecue area. The covered patio is a wonderful place to enjoy the mild Arizona winter weather. Beyond the fenced yard are the pastures and stables for the horses. The entire property is lined with citrus trees and graced with a beautiful rose garden in the front.
